The Professional Regulatory Board of Interior Design (PRBoID) conducted its annual compliance inspection of the Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID) program at the University of the Philippines Diliman's College of Home Economics (CHE) on March 9, 2026. Leading the inspection was PRBoID Chairperson Hon. Sonia Santiago Olivares, accompanied by PRC Administrative Officer Ms. Maria Kristina S. Dabi. The College was represented by its newly appointed dean, Dr. Joanne R. Bantang, and Assistant Professor Kristyn T. Caragay, Chairperson of the Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design (DCTID).
The program opened with brief introductions between the PRBoID representatives and CHE-CTID faculty. Dean Bantang delivered the opening remarks, after which the Interior Design faculty presented the institution's organizational structure, professional credentials, and facilities.

The inspection team then toured the CHE Museum Building, where they viewed student outputs from across all year levels, including the Jurado Study Collection. The works on display gave the board a direct look at the range and depth of student work the program produces, from foundational design exercises to more advanced project outputs, showing how classroom instruction translates into actual creative and technical practice.

At the close of the visit, the board presented its findings. UP Diliman's BSID program under DCTID-CHE was found to be fully compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements set by the PRBoID. In her remarks, Hon. Sonia Santiago Olivares highlighted the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of the program, describing it as a distinctive offering within the field of interior design education in the country.
