Every meaningful space begins with a story, a voice, and a willingness to listen. For the BS Interior Design Class of 2027, this journey begins with GITLING: Kaapagay sa Pagbatid, a batch project rooted in listening, connection, and care.

On September 16, 2026, the BSID Class of 2027 officially began their batch project journey through a partnership with Margaretha Home for the Blind (MHB).

Held at Room 204 of the College of Home Economics Museum Building at the University of the Philippines Diliman, the event brought together CHE Dean Dr. Joanne R. Bantang, PhD, LPT, representatives of Margaretha Home for the Blind, and the BSID Class of 2027 for the ceremonial signing of the partnership agreement.

Representing Margaretha Home for the Blind were Mr. Danilo D. Duya, President of the Board of Trustees; Ms. Ledilina E. Raymondo, Member of the Administrative Committee; Ms. Pia Sairah Gento, MHB Home Care Coordinator; and Ms. Michele Marchan Frangos, MHB Social Worker.

More than a formal partnership, the signing marks the beginning of a shared journey grounded in connection and care. Together with MHB, the BSID Class of 2027 hopes to create spaces that bring people, stories, and everyday experiences closer, where every step, sound, and connection can become part of a place that feels meaningful and familiar.
