BSCT Student Dana Dizon Receives Bronze Award at Start Up QC Student EditionSeptember 11, 2026
4th-year BS Clothing Technology student Dana Dizon was recognized as part of Squad 3 in the Start Up QC Student Edition Business Plan Competition.
The story of Ceatti (Siti) began with Dana’s idea for a digital, end-to-end operating system for the fashion industry, which she proposed as her thesis topic in CTech 197: Special Topics in Clothing Technology under Asst. Prof. Kristyn T. Caragay. To help turn the idea into reality, Dana enrolled in Engg 150: Introduction to Technology Entrepreneurship. It was in this class that she found her teammates and began developing Ceatti into a business concept.
Dana later entered Ceatti into the Start Up QC Student Competition, where the she presented their proposed digital end-to-end operating system for the fashion industry. The platform aims to provide an integrated digital solution for different aspects of fashion business operations.
Ceatti was selected as one of the finalists from more than 150 entries in June 2026. In September 2026, the team received a Bronze Award, along with a ₱15,000 cash prize.
Dana served as the team’s CEO and Clothing Brand Designer, bringing her background in clothing technology and fashion into the development of the business concept. Her teammates included Abram Marcelo as CTO, Karl Alcober as CPO, EJ Diloy as CIO, and Franz Fugaban as COO.
The achievement highlights the potential of student-led innovation in addressing current needs in the fashion industry. It also demonstrates how knowledge in clothing technology can be applied beyond product development and into technology, entrepreneurship, and business solutions.
